Patrick is El Paso born. After high school, he attended Sul Ross State University graduating magna cum laude with a degree in Political Science. He was named a Truman Scholar.
Patrick obtained his law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law in 1988 and was licensed to practice in November of that year.
Patrick proudly served as a felony prosecutor for the El Paso District Attorney's Office.
Patrick then entered private practice, active in criminal defense, personal injury, employment law, consumer protection, and family law. He also started raising a family. His daughters are now grown and are his pride and joy.
Over the years, Patrick's very active practice always dealt with individual people facing hardships. Patrick has represented people in approximately 3,100 family law cases that include the complete spectrum of "family law litigation".
Patrick has always been very active in providing legal services to the poor He has been recognized for many years for assisting Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid private attorney program for indigent clients. He has also proudly served Project Vida Health Centers, a non-profit dedicated to providing medical and mental health services to our most vulnerable communities.
